Title: Robotics 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn the science of robot engineering, simple machines, gears, motors, and sensors, by applying the basic principles of robot programming. They will program, analyze, and evaluate their robot to complete a simulated space mision.
Title: Robotics 200
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn the science of robot engineering, simple machines, motors, gears, and sensors. They will design, program, and evaluate the NXT Mindstorm Robot to complete real world scenarios and missions.
Title: Robotics 300 BOT Building
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn the science of robot engineering, simple machines, motors, gears, and sensors. Students will build a hydraulic powered robot to take home.They will also design, program, analyze, and evaluate the NXT robot.
Title: Engineering Designs 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn about the engineering design process, information systems, sensors, computers, and simple machines. They will participate in various design challenges.
Title: Rocket Science 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn the science of rocketry by designing, testing, evaluating, and launching a model rocket. The students will learn/apply Newton's Laws of Motion and the Four Forces of Flight as they engage in various interactive aircraft activities. Each student will take home their model rocket!
Title: Multimedia 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn how to display information through various media formats. They will create/design a website, power point presentation, and spreadsheet.
Title: Mentoring Skills 100
Ages: 8-16
This class will cover the areas of: Bullying, Conflict Resolution, Career Exploring, Healthy Habits, Alcohol, and Drugs. This workshop will equip the students with coping skills, techniques, preventative measures, and resources.
Title: Drone Technology 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn the basic principles of Aeronautics, Air Pressure, and Bernoulli's Principle. The students will learn the importance of the Four Forces of Flight by using Drones.
Title: Science Expo 100
Ages: 8-16
The students will learn and utilize an array of science applications by engaging with various experiments. They will learn about properties of matter, fluid properties, measuring liquid volume, and chemical reactions.
